Eight Days in Dalat

It was rainy and cold in Dalat but I enjoyed every minute.  Had a great hotel with a balcony that overlooked the downtown area.  A lot of Vietnamese tourists come here and the town was very busy and exciting.  Probably my favourite place in Vietnam and a great place to end my six week visit.

Wet and cold...just like Vancouver....

Here is where you get your lunch for less than a dollar

She makes a mean sandwich

Lots of small alleyways in this mountain town

Local boys...

...and they make for a good photo

GIANT second-hand clothes market.  Had to be seen to be believed

Bought a second-hand shirt to stay warm

Auto-garage guard dog....dog bowl...and dog house.  Don`t think this guy had too many long walks

A motorcycle is great for seeing the surrounding areas

Went for lunch in a mountain restaurant
They get the charcoal ready....

...to cook your own mountain chicken

Mountain chicken and cold beer

Felt like 1950s California here at the mountain coffee shop

The small family farms are the economy here

Downtown Dalat

All the alleyways had cozy restaurants and coffee shops in peoples homes

Always someone to chat with in the coffee shops.

Nice Buddhist pagoda and grounds

Very beautiful area...could of stayed longer...but you have to keep going....
