Hue Bicycle to the Beach

Got off my lazy tourist ass and took a bicycle 14 km to the beach somewhere outside of Hue.  Doesn't sound far but it was a journey and a half.  My behind barely survived the bicycle seat ;)

It was rice harvest time

The rice is spread on the road to dry out

Many duck and fish farms along the way

The country side was beautiful...no garbage or trash anywhere

Pretty well everyone was smiling...everywhere...

Finally...the last bridge to the beach town...

First stop the restaurant....washroom....

It is all seafood here

Vietnamese really can enjoy themselves

The most amazing lunch. 2 minutes later I was battling 25 large flies for that squid....

Very friendly and nice restaurant

My super late lunch took over an hour, had to take off without even swimming as it was getting dark

All the rice from that morning had been bagged up and was hauled off in large trucks

A great way to see the country side
